REVIEW

Amber has done it again! She has delivered an exceptional novel with the closing chapter of the House of Jewels series. I, for one, will miss these wonderful engaging characters and the delightful events in their lives that I have come to enjoy and appreciate but the novels will be beautifully preserved for years and readers to come.

Full House begins with an alarming clue in the Foreword – that something big is about to happen with the Huntley business that could change everything forever. As I read on, I was shocked. ‘On no!’ were the first words leaping from my mouth. News comes that there might be a possible takeover of the Huntley business. What will happen to each of these hard working family members if they find themselves without their lifelines? I was dreading the potential loss of the Huntleys company and began hoping that throughout the plot they would find their way out of the woods and rise again. Amber never leaves her readers in despair so my confidence in the author led me to believe there would be a positive outcome, one way or another. It is true, the path is rough for most characters in book five but good things continue to happen while bad stuff darts in and out of the storyline: which in many ways is realistic in both personal lives and business ventures.

Even though the dark cloud of doom hovers over some scenes, all is not lost. As the plot progresses, there’s a wedding or two that puts the cheer and clear skies back into the story. And a thrilling mystery unfolds where diamonds return to the core of this heartfelt, much loved series. You might say with the jewels - it comes full circle from the first book – House of Diamonds.

The unnerving external factors that the Huntley mother company (and its offshoots) faces, stirs up a lot of questions. This uncertainty sometimes brings out the worst in the relationships between some of the characters. I would add, the company’s dilemma reflects some of the internal conflicts its owners and employees are experiencing, too. There’s a real tug of war going on between the two but this tension only lifts the story to another level. The journey becomes a fascinating one as the company head explores every option imaginable, while the characters try to sort out their own personal issues.

I am delighted to say all this drama has a point and a well presented solution. I was definitely happy with the final tie ups in both the business and the characters. I won’t give anything away, except to say each one has their say as the family comes together in the crisis as they work out a viable option as far as the Huntleys company is concerned. And the character dramas are sorted, too. Leaving this House of Jewels series-finale with a smart and inspiring conclusion. Yes, without question: the final instalment of the House of Jewels series is beautifully rendered. Full House rounds everything out and hope springs once again from potential disaster. A well deserved 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

But I Have More To Say…..

I am so happy to have been a review reader of this series. Thanks to Amber Jakeman for including me. I have watched each character from his and her starting point and enjoyed their journeys immensely. The novels are tender in tone but not light in topic or without well thought-out solutions. Everything covered is thoroughly researched. There is depth, wonder and wisdom written across these pages. Plus beautiful sprinkles of laughter and uplifting humour that break the intensity of drama at times. Amber delves into many personality types, business ideas, emotional traumas, addiction problems, media issues, wanderlust tendencies, environmental concerns, family restoration, family business, entrepreneur experience, starting anew, second chances and lasting love scenarios— just to name a few. Amber’s attention to detail is exceptional. The settings are all picturesque, atmospheric and so well-described you feel as if you are there in person. Believable growth shines within each of the character arcs. They are people you fall in love with, get annoyed with, be inspired by, understand and appreciate.

Well done to Amber Jakeman for a 5 Star collection that I highly recommend for those who want to escape into a series that offers you more than meets the eye and creates heart-lifting memories that will linger with you long after the last page. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
