Review of The Swiss Chocolatier by Leanne Lovegrove

Leanne Lovegrove has written a number of novels in a variety of genres but they all are executed professionally and passionately. In the European Tycoon series, her desire to take us on journeys into the world of the rich and famous is fun and fantastic. It allows us to escape into a realm we may not encounter or partake of in real life. One common denominator in all her books is her obvious love of happy endings. This for many like myself, makes the reading experience even more rewarding. She also has a way of taking the most mundane experience and transforming it to something extraordinary. Her prose is perfectly delivered and it always takes me on a path of discovery and excitement.

Sapphire Banks is a fabulous character. She has a gift in the realm of the chocolate business. She is hardworking, dedicated and loyal. Maybe she lacks a bit of courage to launch out into new territory like applying for a mentorship program on the other side of the world, but hey, many others would be fearful or lack confidence as well: especially if it meant working with the most successful European chocolatier. But this is a chance to advance her career so she swallows her concerns and takes a leap of faith. What she finds is not at all what she expects. Especially when this adventure leads to encounters with her ex: the James White who broke her heart. He is now a millionaire and very different from what she remembers. How awkward will this mentoring become?

James carries a secret from his past but when it is revealed it will bring about some changes and possibly some much needed forgiveness. Will this offer of a second chance heal them both?

The story flows freely from start to finish while the plot unfolds beautifully. I enjoyed the character development, the business of chocolate making and the welcomed resolutions that transpire. The descriptions made me feel I was in the middle of the scenes. And I loved the special canine characters who played a delightful part. They were obviously influenced or inspired by the author’s own interests and gorgeous dog.

Once again Leanne has delivered an exceptional read that is exciting, informative, uplifting and full of romantic flare. Loved The Swiss Chocolatier and totally recommend it and the rest of the series. Cannot wait to read more! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
